I went to a design conference in Austin, TX this past October called An Event Apart. Jeffrey Zeldman, founder of A List Apart Magazine as well as the co-founder of A Book Apart (and also, of course, is an extremely talented designer of many trades)... said
"Blog like no one's reading."
- Jeffrey Zeldman
That quote has been in the back of my head for the past couple months and I THINK it's just now finally sunk in. I'm doing it. I don't think anyone is going to read this. I don't think anyone is really ever going to care what I write or put on this amateur "blog..." After years of telling myself just to start and do it. Here I am. Wide open and vulnerable. What I've learned from my short 25 years of life and what I like to consider myself as good at, is saying yes to opportunity and going all in.
Another reason I started this, THIS very night is because I just recently moved to Seattle and I'm trying to find a tv stand on somewhat of a "budget" (super important stuff, right?). You'll come to find that I don't seem to know that term "budget" all too well, but work with me here. A post with one's I'm looking at to come soon (if I can actually keep up with this thing).
